The Challenge
Industrial manufacturing floors, cleanrooms, and secure warehouse facilities require rigorous personnel tracking to maintain security, verify safety clearances, and comply with labor and audit regulations. Relying on manual sign-in sheets or disconnected access keypads creates severe choke points during shift turnarounds, permits unauthorized “buddy punching,” and leaves site managers without real-time headcounts during plant evacuations or safety incidents. Furthermore, disconnected scanning setups frequently drop records during local network glitches, creating irreconcilable gaps in perimeter audit logs.

We engineered an industrial-grade identity authentication and access logging suite combining ruggedized edge reader controllers with a centralized management console. The system interfaces seamlessly with 13.56 MHz HF/NFC tags, 125 kHz RFID badges, and 1D/2D optical barcode scanners across facility turnstiles, speed gates, and cleanroom interlocks. Engineered with an offline-first architecture, the local controller authenticates credentials against an encrypted edge whitelist within milliseconds—driving physical gate solenoids and relay interlocks instantly—while streaming synchronized entry/exit logs directly to the central database as network connectivity allows.
